At 1665 m Oberstockensee is located above the village of Erlenbach im Simmental, below Mt Stockhorn 2190 m. A crystal-clear mountain lake in a uniquely beautiful mountainscape. In the spring, when the snow meltdown to reveal bucolic alpine pastures and an extraordinary fauna and flora. Vorderstocken and Spetbaergli are the two alpine meadows that are on opposite sides of the lake.
